This week's mission: Find myself some striped tights. Oh and do that literature essay. And French coursework. And plan friday's 600+ guest party. Blimey.

The Lovely Bones
Andy: I wonder if people are going to remember us?
Edie: What, when we're dead?
Andy: Yeah.
Edie: Well I think people will talk about how you changed the world.
Andy: I wonder what they'll say about you... in your obituary. I like that word.
Edie: Nothing nice, I don't think.
Andy: No no, come on. They'd say, "Edith Minturn Sedgwick: beautiful artist and actress...
Edie ...and all around loon.
Andy: ...Remembered for setting the world on fire...
Edie: ...and escaping the clutches of her terrifying family...
Andy: ...Made friends with eeeeverybody, and anybody...
Edie: ...creating chaos and uproar wherever she went. Divorced as many times as she married, she leaves only good wishes behind.
[laughs]
Edie: That's nice, isn't it?

Northern Glory
I can't quite get my head round it, but one of our nation's most notorious and celebrated modern artists is exhibiting most of his most iconic works just 7 miles down the road.
Yes, Banksy:Due North opened in Harrogate at the weekend and runs until the 5th December in the John Mackie Gallery. The exhibition is free, so I'm definitely popping down this weekend.
The 25 screenprints on show include his Warhol-inspired Kate Moss, and some of them are for sale. Northern Glory indeed...Cor Blimey!

The Devil Wears Prada, but the People Wear Plimsolls
Popped down for a weekend in London last week with my boyfriend and of course, spent Sunday on Brick Lane, just like we did all summer.
Vintage booty included a couple of headbands, a purple leather high-waisted mini and a cute blue wicker clutch from the fleamarket.
PS. Next time you are in London, you MUST see Priscilla Queen of the Desert at the Palace theatre, just for the insane costumes alone. Superfantastic.
...Also managed to finally get my hands on a turban-esque headband as you can see. Not perfect, but close enough for now. I'm still searching...

Flash
These shots make me realise in horror...I can't remember the last time I went to a gig!
Something which definitely needs to be remedied...and the fact that I urgently need to get a flashgun for my camera...post haste.

Venus in PVC
One hundred thousand fashion bloggers have already meticulously scanned and blogged the latest Vogue Paris as usual...bla bla blaaa...
...but I was far more interested in the En Vogue story at the front which focuses this month on skiwear. I'm hitting the pistes for the first time in YEARS this Christmas and I have been excited for weeks.
Tight black ski pants? Check
Vintage neon sunnies? Check
Fur bonnet hat? Check
Moncler Jacket? Umm..Santa?
