A selection of the most delectable sky-high stilts which caught my eye at the exhibition at Somerset House. These days it seems, I don't even consider shoes unless they are works of art, and require a really fine-honed artistic skill to walk in too. Those Finsk structures for example, aren't even on sale as footwear, I was told. But I wish I'd dared ask to give them a spin. On a less ambitious note, the Georgina Goodman 'Love' platforms have sailed straight to the top of my lottery-win wishlist. (Yes, I do believe I have a better chance of owning a pair of those beauties to being able to stagger more than 3 metres in the Finsks.) And so, we dream on...

These are not shoes. They are works of art.
Nice selection.

This is when shoes become art - those Kirkwoods are SO stunning. I'd buy them just to stare at them on my shelf
