The stunning backdrop of one of the Savoy Hotel's salons was the perfect backdrop for the elegant lines of Maria Grachvogel's A/W collection. With fluid columns and silk evening dresses cut on the bias in a palette of black, grey and *eek*, white, the Grachvogel woman is statuesque with a dark, mysterious side to her. Fiercely accentuated brows and dark lips toughened up what may have otherwise been a rather tame collection. There was a flash of colour with the appearance of two beautiful orange dresses, but the digital watercolour prints, although delicate and sublime, left us wondering if we hadn't seen this somewhere before.
