Bryce Aime's story was ASIARAMA, but I was slightly disappointed by the offering of rather indifferent asymmetrical shifts paired with lycra leggings. Folds and drapes conjured images of origami, but only of the simplest constructions; there were no flying cranes here. The only piece to stand out was the elaborate feather headdress which momentarily stole the show; the audience suddenly stood to attention at the sight of it, camera lenses raised like bayonets, but then slumping when it disappeared around the corner, like an escaping prey. It was a childish playfulness, rather than any sense of sophistication or innovation, that Aime achieved with this collection.
